Thanks to everyone who tried Simultree!
I was not expecting that much players and support from a jam game, but it was amazing.
I’ve decided to continue working on Simultree and make it my second Steam game. If you want to support, Wishlist the game on Steam!
Also, since this is my first time working on an incremental game (and don’t know the genre that much), please give me some feedbacks on if I’m going in the right direction or not, and on what you’d like to see in Simultree.
TL;DR:
- Add first draft of Prestige system that emphasis player choices and improve the general gameplay progression.
- Add 3 new entity.
- Add 3 new items.
- Balancing and improvements
Full changelog:
[Add]
- Add prestige system, tech tree is now divided in sections that can be chosen and added to the tech tree.
- Add “Fast” entity: x2 points earned when eating banana. x2 speed. x2 vision. x0.5 food capacity.
- Add “Big” entity: x2 points earned when eating watermelon. x0.5 speed. x1 vision. x2 food capacity.
- Add “Lover” entity: Need only 50% food to reproduce. Reproduction delay is divided by 2.. x1 speed. x1 vision. x1 food capacity.
- Add “Mouse” item: Click to spawn food in a small radius around the mouse. Scaling with food spawn stat of the simulation.
- Add “Tree” item: Give [50 * Prestige Level] points if there are more food than at the beginning of the simulation.
- Add “Prism” item: Each points earned are multiplied by [1 + (Prestige Level / 10)].
[Remove]
- Remove “Tombstone” item
[Balancing]
- “Angel Ring” item is now scaling with prestige level: Give [1 * Prestige Level] points when an entity dies or when a new entity is born.
- “Birth Certificate” item is now scaling with prestige level: Give [50 * Prestige Level] points if there are more entities than at the beginning of the simulation.
- “Watermelon” food: Give 7 points instead of 5.
[Improvements]
- Leaderboard’s score is now from prestige level (and should not delete the wrong entries when full anymore)
- Add tooltip on the top left (instead of top right)
- Add different colors for points animations depending on amount earn
